SRX14598164: Whole genome sequencing of Clarias gariepinus using Illumina PE150: adult male, liver
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 155.9M spots, 46.7G bases, 14.1Gb downloads

Design: Illumina paired-end sequencing
Submitted by: Leibniz Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN)
Study: Clarias gariepinus Genome sequencing and assembly
show Abstracthide Abstract
African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is highly sought after for its meat quality and taste. It is extensively cultured worldwide in many countries in Africa, Europa, and Asia. A high-quality reference genome sequence with annotation of protein-coding genes is crucial for understanding important biological traits such as immune responses to various infectious agents, oxygen metabolism, physiological processes, and genetic breeding programs. This haplotype-resolve T2T genome assembly will provide resources to study this commercially valuable fish further.
Sample: Model organism or animal sample from Clarias gariepinus
